Terms

Last updated: November 1, 2026 (America/New_York).

Who we are

DotDue is a private MCS-150 prep and reminder service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of USDOT or FMCSA. Filing your biennial update with FMCSA is free at https://motus.dot.gov. Ask FMCSA (ask.fmcsa.dot.gov) is for help only.

Scope

DotDue is aimed at interstate carriers (and intrastate carriers that need an HM Safety Permit). Our first outreach cohort is carriers due by January 31, 2027. We state FMCSA’s enforcement pause plainly and do not use fear copy about fines or deactivation while that pause stands.

The service

  • Prep pack ($39 one-time): statutory due month/year from your USDOT number, a worksheet/PDF draft prefilled from public census fields, and a filing guide. You must confirm every field and file yourself.
  • Reminders ($15/mo): email reminders (typically 60 / 30 / 7 days before your due window) for opted-in paying customers only.

DotDue does not log into Motus, Login.gov, or FMCSA on your behalf, does not submit forms for you, and does not guarantee compliance, acceptance, or outcomes. An “I filed” click in DotDue is not proof of filing.

Refunds

  • Prep pack: Refundable within 7 days of purchase if you have not downloaded the PDF. After download, digital goods are non-refundable.
  • Reminder plan: Cancel anytime. Access continues through the end of the paid period. No partial-period refunds.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit to FMCSA, for meeting your statutory deadlines, and for keeping your email reachable for reminders. Due dates are computed from 49 CFR 390.19T (January–October only); confirm against your records.

Enforcement note

As of the FMCSA notice (page last updated September 10, 2026), FMCSA has temporarily suspended enforcement of biennial updates and USDOT inactivation for registrants whose update was due on or after June 1, 2026, while Motus stabilizes. The update requirement remains. Source: FMCSA temporary suspension notice. DotDue does not use penalty, fine, or deactivation scare language while that notice stands.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in USD. By purchasing you agree to Stripe’s terms for card processing. No cold/prospect charges on Shabbat (Friday sundown–Saturday sundown America/New_York).

Emails

Transactional delivery and paid reminder emails may be sent when you buy or subscribe. Cold outreach, if any, is paused under internal QA rules until separately cleared and will include unsubscribe and the public census source. No prospect sends on Shabbat.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOTDUE DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT FMCSA WILL ACCEPT YOUR FILING OR THAT REMINDERS WILL ARRIVE IN EVERY CASE.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DotDue’s total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid DotDue for the product giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms for future purchases.
