Privacy
Last updated: November 1, 2026 (America/New_York). DotDue is a private prep and reminder service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of USDOT or FMCSA.
How we may have your email
If we contact you about an MCS-150 due window, the address came from the public FMCSA Company Census / registration data (U.S. DOT open data dataset az4n-8mr2) for your USDOT number, or from an address you gave us on this site, at checkout, or by emailing us. We do not buy broker lists for DotDue cold mail.
What we collect
- Contact details you provide (email, name, USDOT number).
- Public census fields used to build a prep worksheet (legal name, DBA, addresses, phone, operation type, prior MCS-150 date).
- Payment and subscription metadata from our processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on DotDue servers.
- Reminder preferences, optional “I filed” markers (not an FMCSA receipt), and support messages.
- Basic technical logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
How we use information
- Deliver the prep pack and reminder emails you paid for or requested.
- Calculate statutory due month/year from your USDOT number (49 CFR 390.19T).
- Process payments, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
- Respond to support at [email protected] (once mail is live).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not log into Motus, Login.gov, or any FMCSA account on your behalf.
Sharing
We share data with service providers who help run DotDue (for example Stripe for payments, email delivery for transactional/reminder mail, and Cloudflare for hosting). They may process data only to provide those services. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
We keep account, order, and reminder records while your subscription or prep-pack download rights are active and for a reasonable period afterward for tax, dispute, and suppression purposes. Unsubscribed addresses stay on a suppression list so we do not email them again for marketing.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from reminder or outreach email via the link in each message, unsubscribe, or reply STOP.
- Cancel the $15/mo reminder plan anytime (access continues through the paid period).
- Request access, correction, or deletion of account data by emailing [email protected].
Children
DotDue is for business operators, not for children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Material changes will be noted on this page before paid checkout uses a new practice.
