How it works

Under 49 CFR 390.19T, your biennial update is due by the last day of a month mapped from your USDOT number (January–October only — nobody is due in November or December). Filing with FMCSA is free.

1. Due date from your USDOT #
Last digit → month (1=Jan … 9=Sep, 0=Oct). Next-to-last digit odd/even → odd/even year. Deadline is the last day of that month.

2. Prep pack worksheet
Public census fields prefilled for you to confirm. You complete mileage, cargo, counts, and signature.

3. You file free
File at motus.dot.gov. DotDue never logs into your account or submits for you. Help: ask.fmcsa.dot.gov.

DotDue helps interstate carriers (and HM-permit carriers) prepare a worksheet from public census fields and reminds you before your statutory window. Next group we’re focused on: due by January 31, 2027.
